Welcome Parents!
My name is Catherine Ryan, and my home is in a beautiful community village called Rockland St Mary. We are close to our local primary school and a short 15-minute drive to Norwich city. I have had 9 amazing years’ experience working with children and families; from nannying overseas in Australia to a Nursery practitioner in four different settings across Norwich.
Most importantly I am a loving mum to my 3-year-old son Montie. These different perspectives and experiences have been paramount in establishing and running a successful childminding business.
I am lucky to be able to fulfil the requirements of the EYFS in a loving, nurturing family home which has now been extended to our amazing outdoor cabins.
This allows my minded children to feel safe and secure, and able to express themselves freely and learn at their own pace.
Working with smaller numbers of children enables me to meet every child’s individual needs through creating a close bond with them, as well as strong partnerships with parents/carers.
I have a degree in Childhood studies and all relevant up to date training including, Norfolk Safeguard training and Norvic full Paediatric first aid which can be downloaded below. Any assistants working alongside me are employed following the safer recruitment process where DBS checks and references are required.
Our Space
As you can see from the pictures, we are incredibly lucky to have such a big space both indoors and outdoors for playing and learning. I love to encourage the children to get involved in both seasonal and cultural activities such as planting, growing, picking, tasting and caring for animals.
